The impact of Brexit on public procurement and trade and customs

The UK exited the EU on 31st January 2020 and the transition period in the Withdrawal Agreement ended on 31st December 2020. Existing EU Treaties, EU free movement rights and the general principles of EU law now no longer apply in relation to the UK. EU regulations only continue to apply in UK domestic law, but will have no direct effect anymore.

In this Round Table Webinar we like to inform and discuss with you what the implications are of Brexit for the UK and public procurement procedures initiated by UK government (now or prior to Brexit) but also shed some light on the implications for “foreign” bidders, i.e. companies located in the EU. Will Brexit have an impact now or will this be a transitional period as well and will the effects only become visible after the UK really starts to draft its own rules and regulations?
During this Webinar we will also touch upon the effects of Brexit from a Trade and Customs perspective. EU companies participating in UK tenders will have to transport their products and goods to the UK, but will this be the same after Brexit or are there also new hurdles to overcome?
